OBJECTIVE: to work as many counties as possible, on as many bands as possible.
Following bands are eligible: 160, 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meters
(no 60m or 144 MHz and higher). Number of counties worked is determined by
combined total of counties worked on each band. For example, if you have 500
counties worked on 80m, 1500 on 40m, 2000 on 30m and 3000 on 20m, your County
Challenge total is 7000 and you would be eligible for CC II and once you work
2231 more counties you would be eligble for CC III. The purpose of this award
is to encourage county hunters to work and activate counties on as many bands
as possible as well as work fixed stations on bands that are not usually
activated by mobiles. CCA also offers an opportunity to have one score to
measure your progress in county hunting with a possibility to always improving
it and reaching the next level.
START DATE: All QSOs will count. There is no start date for this award.

LEVELS: since this award will probably never be completely
done, each 3077 counties worked will be one level of the award.
CC I: 3077 total counties worked
CC II: 6154 total counties worked
CC III: 9231 total counties worked
CC IV: 12308 total counties worked
CC V: 15385 total counties worked
CC VI: 18462 total counties worked
CC VII: 21539 total counties worked
CC VIII: 24616 total counties worked
CC IX: 27693 total counties worked (highest level on SSB endorsed)
CC X: 30770 total counties worked (highest level on mixed, CW and digital
endorsed)
CC WBOW Plaque: 30770 total counties worked (if SSB
endorsed, 27693 counties worked)
COMBO
CCA AWARD: in addition to standard mixed mode CCA and
CW/SSB/digital endorsed CCA, special "Combo CCA Award" is issued
based on combined scores of each mode. In the combo award number of counties is
determined by combining total of counties worked on each band on each mode
(CW/SSB/digital). Levels of this award are every 9231 counties. E.g. CCA Combo
I: 9231 total counties worked, CCA Combo II: 18462 total counties worked, etc.
Combo CCA X and total maximum is 89233.
ENDORSEMENTS: standard mode endorsements available
(CW/SSB/digital).
SAME CAR CONTACTS/BUMBER-TO-BUMBER TAILGAITING: although not totally
illegal, this type of contacts are strongly discouraged.
TOPLIST: not only awards are issued, there is a real time CCA Toplist
maintained and published regularly in the web and Roadrunner. Toplist contains
every participants total counties worked on each mode on each band and their
combo scores if all modes are included. The CCA Toplist and more information
